Compensation Range: $75,000 - $83,000
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor to oversee our AP team and ensure timely, accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. This role plays a critical part in managing the company’s cash flow, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment runs.
Review and approve batches, payment proposals, and journal entries as needed.
Ensure all invoices and payments comply with company policies, SOX/internal controls, and tax requirements.
Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close processes.
Address vendor inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Work cross-functionally with purchasing, receiving, and operational teams to resolve any AP issues.
Develop, document, and improve AP processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
Train, mentor, and evaluate AP team members; provide feedback and support their
professional growth.
Assist with audits (internal and external) by providing requested documentation and
explanations.
Monitor key AP metrics and prepare reports for management.
Oversee our expense reimbursement program.
Oversee our corporate card program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of accounts payable experience, with 4+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong knowledge of AP processes, systems, and best practices.
Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Great Plains is a plus) and MS Excel.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
