Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, including accurate and timely processing of all purchase invoices and control of the purchase ledger. Responsible for processing all purchase invoicesResponsible for checking invoices are coded to correct GL codes and cost centresProcessing supplier debit notesInvestigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues with invoices, e.g. incorrect pricing or quantity discrepanciesLiaising with suppliers and collaborating with other departments to resolve queriesTimely scanning of accounts payable related documentsReconciliation of key supplier statementsChecking and clearing GR/IR accountsPreparation and posting of accounts payable related month end accrualsProcessing purchase card statementsProcessing expense claimsControl and processing of petty cashComplete ad hoc tasks as requested

QualificationsMust have accounts payable experience in a large international multicurrency environment.Ideally AAT part or fully qualified.Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.Excellent communication and organisational skills.SAP accounting software experience preferred.Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelKnowledge of VAT required - basic rules affecting UK and international invoices.
