Perform accounts payable functions through completing purchase orders, check requests, weekly check runs, procurement card processing and 1099 processing while providing timely responses and excellent service to the Company’s internal and external customers.

What you'll do:

Process purchase orders and checksMaintain accurate recurring payables scheduleComplete various month-end and year-end reconciliation’sTroubleshoot system problems when requiredProvide branch customer service by answering questions and resolving vendor issuesAssist as backup to front receptionist for breaks, days-offConform in all respects with applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisorsPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management

What's required:

• 2+ years of accounting, accounts payable, or data entry.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office-Outlook, Word and Excel; and JD Edwards

What you'll need to know:
• Ability to pay read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
