Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in Jefferson, Louisiana. This is a short-term contract to full time position within the hospitality industry, offering an excellent opportunity for growth for detail-oriented individuals. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial operations while collaborating with various departments. Responsibilities: • Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the Accounts Payable and Finance departments. • Manage daily processes and controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. • Provide exceptional customer service to internal business units and external stakeholders. • Assist with audit preparation and documentation for both internal and external audits. • Open, sort, and distribute incoming departmental mail efficiently. • Organize, log, copy, and file invoices, checks, and other financial documents. • Verify, record, and mail checks, including handling special requests and urgent processing. • Undertake assigned special projects to support departmental goals and initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams. • Ability to adapt to changes and handle interruptions in a fast-paced environment. • Experience in account reconciliation, check runs, and invoice processing is a plus.
