Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this position, you will play a vital role in managing vendor payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. To apply, please call us at 808-531-8056. Responsibilities: • Process incoming accounts payable invoices and vendor checks, ensuring timely and accurate entry into the system. • Set up new vendor accounts and manage invoice approvals with department heads. • Prepare weekly payments to vendors and obtain necessary signatures for check distribution. • Reconcile vendor statements and payable reports to maintain accurate financial records. • Address inquiries from vendors and clients regarding accounts payable matters. • Issue purchase order numbers and match invoices with appropriate documentation. • Compile daily customer deposits and post payments to customer accounts. • Assist with administrative tasks, including mail handling and event preparation, as needed. • Maintain cleanliness in shared spaces and coordinate supply orders with the receptionist. • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller or General Manager. Requirements • Proven experience or conceptual knowledge in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for efficient data handling and reporting. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and team members. • Familiarity with invoice coding, data entry, and check processing procedures. • College degree preferred but not mandatory. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling financial data.
