Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis for 2-3 months in Lincolnshire, Illinois. This part-time role is ideal for someone who excels in processing invoices, managing payments, and ensuring accurate financial records. The position will last approximately two months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs. Responsibilities: • Collect incoming invoices from designated mailboxes and prepare them for processing. • Review, clean, and forward invoices to the appropriate department head for approval. • Execute the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment. • Issue and mail checks to vendors while maintaining proper documentation. • Utilize Oracle and AP Express software to manage accounts payable functions efficiently. • Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate financial records and reporting. • Reconcile accounts to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy. • Support the department with coding invoices and organizing payment workflows. Requirements • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and check runs. • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Oracle and AP Express. • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail. • Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve payment discrepancies. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and department heads.
