Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis in Alachua, Florida. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports while maintaining compliance with company policies. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to vendors and employees alike. Responsibilities: • Accurately input invoice details into the accounting system and assign correct general ledger codes. • Track and manage all payments, expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, and financial statements. • Process vendor payments promptly and ensure compliance with payment terms. • Verify employee expense reports and prepare payments accordingly. • Address outstanding credit balances and ensure receipt of payments. • Respond to vendor inquiries, providing clear and thorough communication on financial matters. • Maintain and update vendor records and documentation to ensure accuracy. • Organize and preserve historical payment records for reference and audits. • Prepare account analyses and generate monthly financial reports. • Identify opportunities for process improvements in payment workflows and implement solutions. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or data entry preferred. • Proficiency in data entry and financial record management. • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and employees. • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners to resolve issues and optimize processes. • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar tools. • Experience with Microsoft Excel and handling tasks like invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation.
