Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities and a keen eye for accuracy while working on-site. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate payment records. • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Perform data entry tasks to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. • Code invoices correctly to align with company standards and policies. • Handle check runs and ensure payments are processed efficiently. • Collaborate with team members to support the accounts payable function. • Utilize Excel for tracking and reporting financial data. • Work with Great Plains Dynamics to manage accounting tasks effectively. • Assist in preparing financial documentation and reports as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field is preferred. • Familiarity with invoice processing and coding procedures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics is highly desirable. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks. • Ability to reconcile accounts and address discrepancies. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
