D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The right candidate will perform basic Accounts Payable administrative functions, such as processing invoices, approving expense statements, and making deposits. Ensure the timely completion of said functions, and maintain a high standard of accuracy while performing them.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Enter invoices into computer and schedule for payment
Correspond with vendors to correct invoicesPerform invoice reconciliationApprove key expense statements/reimbursements for paymentInput permit account entriesMake bank depositsOversee maintenance and vendor insurance and set-upConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to work overtimeResearch all bills to verify that the Company owned property at the time of said billResearch past-due invoicesHandle non-compliance issues with subcontractors, their agents and/or D.R. Horton's insurance monitoring service (EBIX)Request renewal insurance documents from subcontractors and/or their insurance agentsAssist D.R. Horton's Purchasing Department with insurance reviews for new vendor setupsUtilize JDE as a management system to document insurance compliance activitiesGenerate OCIP/Wrap-Up Insurance Enrollment reports and review them with the Purchasing Department to address any enrollment concernsAbility to communicate basic insurance knowledge to subcontractors and/or their insurance agents regarding insurance documents, wording/language and our insurance requirements

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderate

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of general accounting functionsExperience with payroll software and data entryCommercial insurance experience
