Description We are in the market for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the education sector in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role involves maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency in processing customer data and resolving inquiries, all within a physical workplace setting. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Review and process invoices in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. • Investigate and rectify discrepancies related to payments from purchase orders to invoices. • Manage the processing and distribution of accounts payable checks. • Maintain up-to-date, accurate files of accounts payable and vendor information. • Handle the processing and distribution of EFT and ACH payments, and reconcile payable accounts. • Verify and process third-party payments and reconcile payments in the purchasing card system. • Respond promptly to vendor and staff queries regarding invoices, purchase orders, and payments. • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting. • Participate in cross-training and other detail oriented development activities. • Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements.
