Job Summary: Air Systems Inc. is looking for an Account Payable Clerk to join our team. This is a full-time position reporting to the Accounting Manager. This position will be responsible for processing invoices in a timely manner and creating/ maintaining the job records in the accounting system. It is important that this position also helps to create and maintain positive vendor relationships. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

Prepare Project Billings and supporting documents Process Retention Billings Month End A/P Project Closing Process Debit and Credit Memos timely Maintain any and all necessary spreadsheets Monitor and manage processing of lien waivers Work with appropriate staff members to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries regarding invoice payments. Manage collection of outstanding invoices for projects Maintain updated Accounts Payable Aging Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits. Support Accounting Department in any reasonable capacity required Performs additional assignments as requested and maintains a teamwork attitude.

 

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred 2+ years progressive responsibility in Finance Construction Billing Industry preferred 2-3 Years Office Administration/ Accounting Experience Proficient on MS Office Suite, especially Excel Attention to detail Be able to multi-task Excellent organization Ability to problem solve Excellent oral and written communication Team Player Flexible Able to work in a fast-paced environment Creative use of skills and resources to get the job done Independent worker
