Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scanning invoices to a PDF and entering the raw data into Accounting Edge Software. The AP clerk position is a fast-paced, high-volume role that could involve handling up to 500 invoices a week. This position will also serve as the backup to the receptionist.
ResponsibilitiesKey information from invoices utilizing Trueline (AS/400) and Edge software.Balance invoices with Purchase Orders.Establish new relationships with vendors and review vendor statements.Troubleshoot with vendors as needed.Provide phone coverage to the Receptionist for breaks, lunches, and time off, as needed.During receptionist coverage, complete all receptionist tasks satisfactorily, including answering phones, greeting and checking in visitors to the building, and handling all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.Essential SkillsAccounts payableInvoice processingAccountingInvoicingData entryMicrosoft OfficeReconciliationSAPMicrosoft ExcelPurchase orderInvoice reconciliationAdditional Skills & QualificationsMinimum 2-4 years of recent administrative support experience.Accounts Payable experience is a plus, but not required.Ability to manage high volumes of invoices in an organized, efficient manner.Knowledge/experience within a mechanical contracting firm is a plus, but not required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a positive, engaging, proactive, and team-based style.Working knowledge of Local, State, and Federal regulations and guidelines.Ability to work independently, sometimes with minimal supervision.Valid Driver's License.Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Experience with Accounting Software is a plus, but not required.Demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism, and commitment to company values.Self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring the ability to handle up to 500 invoices per week. The role involves significant interaction with vendors and other departments, and occasionally covers receptionist duties, including answering phones and handling mail. The position requires proficiency with various software applications, including Microsoft Office and Accounting Edge Software. Dress code is business casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
