Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and collaborative Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's non-profit organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment in an accurate and timely manner. The person in this role will also interact frequently with external personnel and therefore should possess strong interpersonal skills. not only could you be a member of a great accounting team, but also you could work within an organization with the mission of helping individuals within our local community! Responsibilities: + Process across-the-board accounts payable for the organization, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to policies. + Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data. + Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. + Assist with charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries. + Pay vendors, schedule and prepare checks, resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies. + Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos. + Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. + Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls. + Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices. + Maintain a filing system for all financial documents. Requirements Requirements: + Feasible experience in managing the accounts payable function. + Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills. + Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software. + High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. + Communication and interpersonal skills. + Associates degree plus one year of accounts payable experience is valued although the enthusiasm and commitment to learning is the must.
