We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing check requests, managing vendor invoices, conducting reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable, proficiency with large ERP systems (preferably SAP), and a strong ability to manage multiple vendor accounts accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Process check requests and expense reports regularly, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.Review, code, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.Perform monthly reconciliations and analyze vendor aging reports to maintain accurate financial records.Manage a large portfolio of vendor accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliance with company procedures.Enter and update data in the company’s ERP system to ensure accurate accounts payable processing.Audit and process credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.Collaborate with other departments to match receiving/purchasing documents with invoices and resolve any discrepancies.Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally, addressing any issues or concerns.Assist with year-end audit testing and ensure all financial records are accurate and complete.Monitor recurring monthly expenses to ensure timely recording and reporting.Perform ad hoc finance and accounting functions as directed by the supervisor.Essential Skills
Strong experience with accounts payable, invoice processing, and reconciliations.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.Experience with 3-way matching and large ERP systems (SAP preferred).High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to vendors.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.SAP software experience preferred.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
