Accounts Payable Clerk

Westminster Communities of Florida, a nationally recognized not-for-profit faith-based organization is searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk.  Founded in 1954, Westminster Communities of Florida is a national leader in senior living and dedicated to a Mission and ministry of service to older adults. Our communities offer independent living, assisted living, nursing care, home care, pharmacy services, affordable housing for low-income seniors and more.

The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the organization's accounts payable processes by maintaining accurate records, aiding team members, and ensuring timely resolution of inquiries. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Invoice Assistance and Maintenance: Support the Accounts Payable Coordinators and Supervisor by maintaining accurate files and records. Review and validate statements, reports, and requests, flagging and communicating any discrepancies to the AP Coordinators. Vendor Support: Assist with vendor file maintenance, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information. Research and respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile monthly statements to address outstanding invoices. Audit and Reporting: Assist with year-end preparations by gathering and organizing documentation for audits. Support the Supervisor in managing tasks such as unclaimed property letters and related compliance efforts. Collaboration: Work closely with Business Office personnel, Bookkeepers, and other facility team members to ensure smooth workflows. Foster a team-oriented environment with a positive, professional attitude. Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1-2 years of general office experience with a demonstrated ability to learn accounts payable systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related programs. Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
