Description We are offering a contract for an Accounts Payable Clerk role in the Wholesale Distribution industry located in Houston, Texas. This role is central to our team's operations, where you will be responsible for handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving any queries that arise. Additionally, you will oversee customer accounts and take the necessary actions. Responsibilities: • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently • Keep customer credit records up-to-date and precise • Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and effective service • Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate actions as needed • Manage the AP inbox, ensuring all emails are attended to promptly • Handle retrieval and sorting of mail associated with Accounts Payable • Perform data entry tasks related to Accounts Payable with a high level of accuracy • Manage invoice processing tasks, ensuring all invoices are correctly entered and processed • Run checks as per the company's guidelines • Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks and reports related to Accounts Payable. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar position in the wholesale distribution industry. • Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP). • Proven experience in conducting check runs. • Solid skills in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy. • Significant experience in invoice processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets and reports.
