Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Harrisonburg, Virginia. In this role, you will be a key player in our financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and assisting in month-end closing activities. Responsibilities: • Reviewing invoices for accuracy and securing necessary approvals before scheduling payments • Coordinating with procurement and production teams to resolve any discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts • Ensuring all documents are scanned and filed electronically for easy accessibility and reference • Maintaining open communication with vendors regarding payment status and any queries • Conducting regular review and clean-up of Open Items list in our financial management system • Assisting in the preparation of IRS Form 1099's for applicable vendors • Setting up new vendor accounts, overseeing credit applications, and managing all related requirements • Collaborating with the purchasing department to secure credits from vendors when necessary • Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and organize data • Accurately processing customer credit applications and maintaining up-to-date customer credit records. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) to manage outgoing payments. • Capability to perform Check Runs for maintaining payment schedules. • Familiarity with Coding Invoices to categorize financial data effectively. • Strong Data Entry skills to input financial information accurately and efficiently. • Expertise in Invoice Processing to manage and organize payments. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data. • Knowledge of Oracle for managing business operations. • Experience with QuickBooks for financial management and bookkeeping. • Familiarity with SAP for business process management.
