Description Robert Half Contracts Finance & Accounting division is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a very large and well-known contracting and construction firm who is in need of some extra help in AP! This Accounts Payable Specialist would be working full-time on-site reporting directly into the Accounts Payable Manager handling tasks such as: Manage the processing of invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approval, and timely payment for materials, subcontractors, and services related to ongoing construction projects. Perform high-volume data entry to input and track purchase orders, invoices, and payment information within the company's accounting system, ensuring precision and consistency. Maintain regular communication with vendors and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, clarify payment terms, and address any issues related to invoices or deliveries. Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner, ensuring up-to-date records. Regularly monitor and update accounts payable records, ensuring that all outstanding liabilities are accurately reflected and settled within the agreed-upon timelines. the finance team during month-end and year-end closures by providing necessary reports, reconciliations, and backup documentation for accounts payable. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contract terms by maintaining proper documentation and adhering to internal controls for all payable transactions. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential. • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) is required. • Experience in executing Check Runs is necessary. • Ability to Code Invoices efficiently is crucial. • Strong skills in Data Entry are needed. • Knowledge in Invoice Processing is important. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. • Experience with Oracle is a must. • Familiarity with QuickBooks software is required. • Knowledge of SAP is a significant advantage.
