Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry, based in Azusa, California. The role involves overseeing the completion of payments, controlling expenses, and ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices. Responsibilities: • Oversee the verification of entries and comparison of system reports to balances to reconcile processed work. • Analyze invoice and expense reports to charge expenses to accounts and cost centers. • Monitor discount opportunities, verify federal ID numbers, prepare checks, and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies to ensure vendors are paid. • Keep track of outstanding memos to ensure credit is received. • Handle stop-payments or amendments to purchase orders as required. • Prepare checks for employees by verifying expense reports and requests for advances. • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. • Preserve historical records by microfilming and filing documents. • Record entry and verify documentation to disburse petty cash. • Calculate requirements on paid invoices to report sales taxes. • Ensure the confidentiality of information to protect the organization's value. • Pursue educational opportunities to update job knowledge. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is expected • Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) • Familiarity with Check Runs is required • Must be adept at Coding Invoices • Strong Data Entry skills are a necessity • Experience with Invoice Processing is crucial • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is required • Knowledge of Oracle systems is beneficial • Familiarity with QuickBooks software is desirable • Experience with SAP is beneficial • Proficiency in Sage 300 is an advantage Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
