DESCRIPTION:

As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Tutor Perini Corporation, reporting to the Manager of Accounting, you will have the opportunity to ensure that the accounts payable group exceeds expectations through:

Accurate and timely input of invoices, expense reports and check request

Review data for accuracy prior to posting

Identify and correct discrepancies on a timely basis

Save and approve invoices images in ApllicationXtender

Process invoices with the following application Scanman/JDE module

Comply with policies and procedures related to expense reporting and communicate discrepancies to manager as well as division

Understand and adhere to documented internal controls

Handle check runs, post wires and void checks in JD Edwards (JDE)

Support divisional accounting and finance personnel by assisting them with inquiries

Communicate with divisions to resolve issues, create efficiencies, and enhance quality

Perform projects or other assignments as requested or required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Highschool diploma or GED

Associate’s, bachelor’s degree or some college preferred

One or more years of experience in accounts payable, accounting or other related experience

Intermediate experience with MSExcel

Strong Verbal and written communications skills

Dependable, consistent and detail oriented

Receptive to change and fast-paced environment

Drug test and background check is required

Must be willing to work onsite, 5 days a week in our Sylmar, CA office

Expected pay range for this position is $29 to $32.70 per hour, depending upon experience
