Accounts Payable Clerk

Key Responsibilities: Invoice Processing & Vendor Relationships: + Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding of expenses. + Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices and resolve discrepancies quickly. + Assist with vendor setup and maintain up-to-date vendor records for accuracy and compliance. + Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly, resolving payment issues as needed. Payment Execution & Reconciliation: + Prepare and process electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers) and checks in a timely manner. + Reconcile accounts payable transactions by ensuring all payments are applied correctly. + Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with payment terms and maintain accurate aging reports. Month-End & Administrative Support: + Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals. + Maintain a highly organized digital and physical filing system for all accounts payable records. + Support the accounting team with special projects and audits as needed. Requirements + 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles preferred. + Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms preferred. + Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., data entry, sorting, and basic formulas) + Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy, especially in high-volume environments. + Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines effectively. + Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with vendors and team members.
