Accounts Payable Manager

Your role. 

Your work will include, but not be limited to: 

·        Oversees accounts payable operations, including review and authorization of payments via ACH, check, and outgoing wire transfer for both domestic and international entities.

·        Train, schedule, assign, and review the work of accounts payable staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

·        Analyze major accounts and conduct monthly reconciliations of subsidiary accounts to the general ledger.

·        Utilizes detailed knowledge of IRS, state, and local reporting requirements related to accounts payable processes, including W-9, 1099, and sales and use tax compliance.

·        Develop and implement record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures for processing payments and other accounts payable activities.

·        Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, finance, and operations to ensure seamless financial processes.

·        Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounts payable team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment while promoting professional development and continuous improvement.


The qualifications.


Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience requiredRequires at least 4 to 6-years of accounts payable experience, and at least 2-years supervision experience within an accounting department.Person in position frequently communicates with individuals who have inquiries and must be able to effectively exchange information in these interactions.Proven ability to supervise multiple staff members, ensuring workflow efficiency and addressing performance issuesStrong analytical skills, including ability to:Identify and explain variances in financial activity.Recognize and implement opportunities for improving accounting processes and procedures.Excellent coordination skills to manage information flow from various sources, including management, partners, team members, and staff.Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting systems, as well as other software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience with Workday or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.Foster positive working relationships with diverse personalities and roles at all levels within the firm and client base.
