Accounts Payable Manager

Role description:

Supervises the daily operations of the Accounts Payable Team, collaborates with other departments to resolve issues, implement best practices, and optimize processes to ensure the team meets the Service Level Agreements and KPIs, builds a highly effective team through continuous coaching and mentoring

Role accountabilities:

Working alongside the Accounts Payable Manager to ensure proper workforce management and high team engagement Oversees the Accounts Payable Associates, Accounts Payable Analysts, and Accounts Payable Specialists to meet the service level agreement and KPIs and providing feedback on their performance and development. Performs talent reviews and recommends talent training and development Mentors and coach direct reports to reach their full potential  Listen to team members' feedback and work with them to resolve any issues or conflicts; handles task allocation, timecard review and leave approvals.  Supports the team in meeting the SLA and KPIs through performance management, providing regular feedback, coaching, and training to team members to ensure continuous improvement  Conducts team meetings to update members, discuss issues, and brainstorm solutions and best practices to generate continuous improvement initiatives  Assists with hiring processes and new team member training  Performs task allocation/scoping and capacity analysis  Helps lead process improvement projects/quick wins  Point of escalation for customer service, expedited or critical payments, resolving supplier queries, resolving employee expense issues, tax issues and other AP-related concerns

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accountancy, Finance, Business or equivalent  Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable or related field Experience in process improvement and optimization, and ability to implement best practices  Exposure to leading a high performing team  In-depth knowledge of performance management (KPIs, SLAs, Metrics)
