Job Description

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing team. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing accounting duties related to accounts payable across all 20 locations in the Midwest. The role involves managing a team of four, handling millions of dollars in invoices, and ensuring timely payments to benefit from AP discounts. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to transition into a controller role within 1-2 years.

ResponsibilitiesOversee a team of four accounts payable professionals.Manage and process approximately 500 invoices per day.Ensure timely payments to take advantage of available discounts.Navigate and manage different team personalities effectively.Be actively involved in team tasks and not just manage from a distance.Assist in the transition from Sage 300 to Acumatica, with a go-live date by the end of March.Prepare for a future controller role within 1-2 years.Essential SkillsExperience in accounting and accounts payable.Ability to manage multi-state and multi-company operations.Background in construction or manufacturing.Strong regulatory reporting skills.Customer service mindset.Supervisory experience with leading a team of direct reports.Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.Professional certification preferred (CPA or CMA).Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to train and develop junior team members.Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting software.MBA preferred.Work Environment

This position offers a private office with cubicles for the team of four outside. The work culture is friendly and supportive, with a strong emphasis on family and pets. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00/yr.
