Summary/Objective : 

The duties of the Accounts Payable Manager ensure that the business is operating effective and efficiently by overseeing the Accounts Payable department and monitoring internal controls. In addition, the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for ensuring invoices are processed accurately, payments are made timely and work with vendors on discrepancies.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead the Accounts Payable department staff and processes In charge of data entry, imports, validation and processing of various types of invoices Responsible for the month end AP close and accrual process Ensures systems, policies and procedures are adhered to while functioning with accuracy and timeliness Oversee all payment transactions Analyze and provide ad hoc reports to company leadership as requested Act as the system administrator for several software packages, including DSSI, Concur and the company credit card program Provide training for company AP procedures and software packages to end users Standardize procedures to generate efficiency and create internal templates as needed Partner with the Procurement department as it relates to vendor invoice and payment processes Mentor team members to ensure appropriate career and personal development Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls Oversee the company’s 1099 process Serve as backup to other roles within the Finance department as needed Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

Required Education and Experience:

Associate degree Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable; 3 of those years being in a leadership role Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas Long-term care experience preferred Experience with Sage Intacct ERP system preferred
