Overview
The Accounts Payable Operations Manager is responsible for providing overall team development and process leadership to the Accounts Payable Team. This role oversees day-to-day operation on a high-volume accounts payable operation and is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that vendor invoices and customer tickets based on Team coverage areas are processed accurately and within SLA timeframes Participate in the development of department policies and ongoing improvements to the accounts payable process Plan work assignments, evaluate work performed and provide direction and decisions in handling procedural and technical problems Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of hauler invoices Manage the resolution of issues escalated from team members Coordinate training of new team members Provide timely feedback to Sr. Manager, AP Ops and other team members to improve deliverables Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues with payments and vendorsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar fields 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role 4+ years of supervisory experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated skills in strategic accounts payable leadership and delivery of best practices Proven team-building experience Ability to plan, organize, develop tactical plans, and sets priorities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to manage/lead through change, work efficiently, and manage deadlines in a changing environment Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate work resultsBenefits
