Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to join our team in Wallingford, CT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to build strong relationships with customers and vendors, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
+ Accounts Receivable: Maintain accounts receivable records, document bills, and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and complete. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure timely remittance of payments.
+ Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices, confirming the validity of debts, and gathering appropriate signatures. Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve any vendor invoice issues.
+ Documentation: Ensure all financial transactions are accurately documented and filed. Maintain organized records for easy retrieval and review.
+ Customer Relations: Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers to facilitate smooth payment processes and address any payment-related inquiries or issues.
+ Vendor Relations: Work closely with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments. Maintain open communication to address any concerns or issues promptly.
+ Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Assist in preparing for audits and other financial reviews.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 1 year of work experience in accounting.
+ Eligibility to obtain any required Export Authorization (US Person or eligible non-US Person).
Desired Skills:
+ Associate degree in accounting or equivalent.
+ Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
+ Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
+ Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
