Accounts Payable Representative
EDI/Direct Correspondence Representative Location: Fort Wayne, IN Level: Hourly Division/Department: Finance/Accounting Reports to: Accounts Payable Supervisor About the Role: The EDI/Direct Correspondence Representative is responsible for managing the daily processing of invoices and correspondence with vendors, resolving disputes, and supporting the online invoicing system with a high level of customer service. Responsibilities include: + Perform daily EDI invoice processing and correspondence to vendors + Check error file, authorize file and report review/distribution + Contact EDI vendors with recurring errors that need to be reviewed by the vendor + Support Direct Clerks + Research unidentified invoices and credit memos, past due items, general correspondence and questions + Answer telephone and respond to corporate staff, member, and vendor inquiries for problem solving and providing assistance + Terminal entry + Pay and reconcile Import Billings + Assist with special projects as needed Education & Experience: + Associates Degree in business with a concentration in accounting is preferred or several years related work experience + Experience in clerical duties including accounts payable, invoicing and payment terms + Experience working with members and vendors Skills & Abilities: + Excellent communication skills – written and verbal + Understanding of billing procedures, terms, cash discount, no-adders, etc. + Above average problem solving skills + Follow through on tasks to completion + Ability to work in a team environment + Excellent organizational skills + Ability to prioritize, complete work accurately and meet deadlines + Ability to multitask Benefits available to you: + Full insurance benefits package including Medical, Dental, & Vision + Paid time off to foster work/life balance + Profit sharing + Bonus Pay opportunities + Retirement funding opportunities + Education reimbursement + Health club reimbursement + Career advancement opportunities About Do it Best: At Do it Best, we take pride in being the only U.S.–based, member-owned hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.
