Description Our client, an innovative leader in the biotech space, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage essential financial operations. Responsibilities: + Perform day-to-day accounts payable operations, including processing invoices, verifying approvals, and managing payment schedules. + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. + Ensure timely payment of invoices, adhering to established workflows and company policies. + Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records. + Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement and finance teams, to streamline processes. + Monitor and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements specific to the biotech industry. + Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities as needed. + Provide vendors and stakeholders with excellent customer service to foster strong relationships. Requirements + Proven experience in accounts payable operations, with prior experience in the biotech or life sciences industry preferred. + Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems. + Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, general accounting principles (GAAP), and financial recordkeeping. + Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. + Skilled in vendor communications and problem resolution. + Commitment to confidentiality and ethical financial practices. + A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
