Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Citrus Heights, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and processing financial transactions efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced accounting tools and systems in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Perform account coding and verify invoices against purchase orders and contracts. • Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP platforms, to maintain financial records. • Handle accrual accounting and ensure proper documentation for monthly closing procedures. • Facilitate auditing processes by providing accurate and complete financial data. • Oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and ensure compliance with company protocols. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency. • Use Concur to manage expense reporting and streamline processes. • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures. • Support financial reporting by preparing relevant data and reconciliations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms. • Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting principles. • Familiarity with auditing processes and financial compliance standards. • Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. • Ability to effectively use tools like Concur for expense management. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
