About the role:
The Finance Team sits at the global intersection of critical analysis and operational function, housing Accounting, FP&A, and Corporate Development. The Accounting division of our Finance team is looking for a proactive and detailed Accounts Payable Specialist. Directly reporting to the Associate Director of Accounting, the Accounts Payable Specialist, will work closely with, and collaborate, with the team on tasks like monthly closing, expenses, payables, banking and general accounting support. This is a great opportunity to join a well supported team, and partner with a variety of cross functional teams.What you'll do:Perform day-to-day full cycle payables processing and ensure the accurate coding of vendor payables, corporate credit card transactions, employee expense reimbursement in adherence to company policies. Act as point of contact for all stakeholders.Prepare bi-monthly payments requests via ACH/Wire and creates and maintains all banking templates.Own all communication flowing through our AP alias with timely responses and a great customer service attitude.Process all tax payments and filings across various US states and international entities. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Support month-end close procedures, such as preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, AP aging analysis, resolving vendor discrepancies and more.Assist with process documentation and be able to work cross-functionally.Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, and display the willingness to take on special projects both individually and as part of a team.Ad Hoc projects, audit support, annual 1099 filing and other tasks based on team and business needs.What experience we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2 – 3 years of experience in an accounts payable role.Knowledge of full end to end cycle accounts payables processes.Proficiency in Excel; pivot tables, lookups, etc.Proficiency in NetSuite and JPM Banking preferred.Who you are:Data-driven with strong critical thinking abilities, highly organized and detail oriented individual.Enjoy diving into complex issues to find solutions with a “can do” attitude, but also working in a flexible, supportive, and energetic team-environment.Strong communication, research, and problem-solving skills.Passionate about accounting and have experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. These considerations can cause compensation to vary.  Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position under New York City law for New York City applicants.  The salary range estimate for this position as performed in New York City is $70,000 - $73,000.  The salary range for this position as performed outside of New York City may vary.  The actual pay will be at Vistar Media’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to geographic location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
