Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the bustling city of Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves handling various accounting duties, specifically dealing with accounts payable. This position is within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations. Responsibilities: • Accurately process accounts payable transactions to ensure prompt and correct payments. • Coordinate and verify vendor information including address, banking details, and other relevant information. • Implement payment plans and conduct follow-ups on unpaid invoices. • Reconcile supplier statements and rectify any discrepancies. • Maintain comprehensive and accurate vendor files. • Review, verify, and process invoices and check requests. • Generate and dispatch weekly or monthly payments. • Prepare bank deposits and ensure they are done in a timely manner. • Provide necessary documents for audit processes. • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledger to the general ledger. • Assist in the closing procedures at month-end. • Utilize accounting software systems like SAP S/4HANA and Concur for efficient processing of accounting functions. • Apply skills such as 'Account Coding', 'Accrual Accounting', and 'Auditing' for precise and efficient job performance. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Familiarity with Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting and Auditing • Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is preferred.
