Position Details
The AP Specialist will handle a high volume of vendor invoice processing, data entry, and full cycle accounts payable. This role will primarily be focused on processing invoices, completing account reconciliations, and processing check requests.
Responsibilities:
Review, code, process and route vendor invoices for approval and posting to AP module.
Complete vendor and subcontractor account statement reconciliations and request missing invoices and credits as needed, both from internal and external parties.
Process check requests as needed for permitting and license fees.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues with both internal and external parties.
Receive banking transactions and complete necessary approvals.
Review and manage vendor portals for new invoices to process.
Review and post credit card expenses.
Manage communications with factoring companies.
Review and post expense reports for final review and approval in the expense portal.
Assist AP Manager with month-end or closing tasks applicable to the AP department.
Assist with the weekly payment processing.
Assist with management and distribution of company credit cards.
Responsibilities may vary as the company and AP function grow.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter, dependable and systems savvy.
Positive attitude and a “customer service” touch.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, and complex formulas.
Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision in a deadline driven organization.
Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple projects at time.
Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint software is a plus.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:
