Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This role resides within the telecommunications industry and is an integral part of our financial operations. Responsibilities: • Accurately process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status • Perform account reconciliations in a timely manner • Conduct routine ledger checks on payment and expenditure, including payroll, purchase orders, and invoices • Check runs to verify data and prevent duplication • Assist in streamlining the accounts payable process • Work with account receivable clerk and others to resolve account issues when necessary • Utilize computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory • Experience in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) is required • Familiarity with Check Runs and Coding Invoices • Strong data entry skills • Experience in Invoice Processing is necessary • Knowledge of the Chromeriver software is a plus • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
