Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will review and verify invoices, sort, code, and match invoices, set invoices up for payment, and enter and upload invoices into the system. Additional duties include tracking expenses, processing expense reports, preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments, reconciling accounts payable transactions, monitoring accounts to ensure payments are up to date, researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues, maintaining vendor files, and corresponding with vendors to respond to inquiries. This role also involves assisting with month-end closing tasks.

ResponsibilitiesReview and verify invoices and check requests.Sort, code, and match invoices.Set invoices up for payment.Enter and upload invoices into the system.Track expenses and process expense reports.Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.Reconcile accounts payable transactions.Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.Maintain vendor files.Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.Assist with month-end closing.Essential Skills1-2 years of accounts payable experience.Proficiency in MS Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Work Environment

The position involves reporting to the Accounting Manager and the VP of Finance. You will be required to work in the office five days a week. The work environment is a fast-paced produce distribution setting. After initial training, you will work independently, sitting next to the Accounts Payable Manager. Flexible working hours are available, typically between 7 AM and 6 PM. The role utilizes the Produce Pros ERP system.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
