Description Job Description: Accounts Payable Specialist Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: + Process and verify a high volume of invoices, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies. + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. + Prepare and process payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks. + Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation. + Assist in month-end and year-end close processes by providing necessary reports and reconciliations. + Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely payment of invoices. + Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve payment or billing issues. + Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function. + Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable tax regulations. Requirements Qualifications: + Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. + Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. + Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles. + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Skills: + Experience with three-way matching processes. + Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. + Knowledge of vendor management and contract review.
