Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's growing team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of payables, manage vendor relationships, and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
+ Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely approvals.
+ Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers in a timely manner.
+ Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by liaising with vendors and internal departments.
+ Maintain and update the accounts payable system, ensuring vendor information is accurate and up to date.
+ Assist with month-end close procedures, including accounts payable reporting and expense accruals.
+ Perform regular audits of invoices to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
+ Support internal and external audit requests by providing supporting documentation and explanations when needed.
+ Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders regarding accounts payable matters.
+ Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency within the accounts payable function.
Requirements
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
+ 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
+ Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
+ Thorough understanding of accounts payable principles, general accounting principles, and internal controls.
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, team members, and management.
+ Ability to analyze and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
+ Familiarity with expense processing and knowledge of 1099 reporting is a plus.
