Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. In the healthcare industry, the role involves managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle account coding, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process. • Utilize accounting software systems, such as Oracle and ERP, for various accounting functions. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase order invoices. • Address invoice discrepancies by liaising with internal business partners and vendors. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on MN sales and use tax requirements, ensuring compliance. • Understand and adhere to MN care tax and current 1099 requirements. • Facilitate communications with vendors regarding payment terms, processes, and types. • Review and reconcile vendor statements, ensuring any open invoices or credit memos are processed accordingly. • Resolve payment issues by communicating with internal and external customers. • Work closely with the purchasing department to address any invoice or purchase order discrepancies. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential for this role. • Must be adept with Accounting Software Systems. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is vital. • Proficiency in Accrual Accounting is compulsory. • Auditing skills are requisite for this position. • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes is mandatory. • Proficiency in using Oracle is preferred.
