Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in West Palm Beach, Florida. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing financial data, processing invoices, and ensuring smooth transactions within our team. This position is based in the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and pay bills from suppliers in a timely manner
• Monitor and control expenses to maintain precise cash flow
• Maintain and update records of all financial transactions for tax and compliance purposes
• Reconcile accounts to identify and rectify discrepancies between accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and issue end-of-year 1099s
• Ensure exact recording of all accounts payable transactions to the appropriate note payable
• Produce and submit sales and use tax reports and payments to various states
• Report revenue to specific states quarterly to maintain an active status
• Manage all state licenses to ensure compliance and active status, initiating new accounts as necessary
• Review intercompany transactions for accurate accounts payable entries
• Resolve conflicts and outstanding balances efficiently.
Requirements • Proficient in Account Coding and understanding its application in financial transactions
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems, enabling efficient and accurate management of financial data
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to streamline and integrate operation processes
• Solid understanding and ability to perform various Accounting Functions, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Skilled in handling Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles, and ability to apply them in financial reporting
• Experience in Auditing, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accuracy of financial statements
• Proficient in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, facilitating electronic transfers of funds
• Comfortable working with Sage Intacct accounting software to manage financial operations
• Experience with QuickBooks to track financial transactions and create financial reports
• Familiarity with Vertex Sales & Use Tax software, supporting accurate computation and reporting of sales and use tax.
