Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the AP inbox, filter and route invoices for approval, prepare payment batches, cut checks, publish analytics, consolidate statements, and ensure timely payment of bills. Additionally, the specialist will contact vendors for missing documents and download invoices from vendor websites. Responsibilities + Manage AP Inbox + Filter and route invoices to corresponding companies for approval + Prepare batches for payment once invoices are approved + Cut checks after batches are approved and posted for payment (weekly check runs) + Publish analytics and provide check run summaries to management + Consolidate statements to ensure there are no missing invoices + Contact vendors to request missing invoices, W-9, and COI forms + Download invoices from vendor websites + Track bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly bills to avoid late payments Essential Skills + 5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience + Advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables) + Experience processing a high volume of invoices (200+ per week) + Comfortable with manual processes + Excellent Microsoft Office and computer skills + Strong accuracy and attention to detail + Ability to perform under strict deadlines Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus + ERP experience is a plus Work Environment This is a full-time, in-person position located at our Bethesda offices. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with an 8-hour workday and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Flexible start hours are between 7 am to 9 am, as long as it is consistent each day. The office features pit-style cubicles, providing an open and collaborative environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
