Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the AP inbox, filter and route invoices for approval, prepare payment batches, cut checks, publish analytics, consolidate statements, and ensure timely payment of bills. Additionally, the specialist will contact vendors for missing documents and download invoices from vendor websites.

ResponsibilitiesManage AP InboxFilter and route invoices to corresponding companies for approvalPrepare batches for payment once invoices are approvedCut checks after batches are approved and posted for payment (weekly check runs)Publish analytics and provide check run summaries to managementConsolidate statements to ensure there are no missing invoicesContact vendors to request missing invoices, W-9, and COI formsDownload invoices from vendor websitesTrack bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly bills to avoid late paymentsEssential Skills5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experienceAdvanced Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables)Experience processing a high volume of invoices (200+ per week)Comfortable with manual processesExcellent Microsoft Office and computer skillsStrong accuracy and attention to detailAbility to perform under strict deadlinesAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field is a plusERP experience is a plusWork Environment

This is a full-time, in-person position located at our Bethesda offices. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with an 8-hour workday and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Flexible start hours are between 7 am to 9 am, as long as it is consistent each day. The office features pit-style cubicles, providing an open and collaborative environment. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $31.25/hr.
