Description Robert Half is partnering with a non-profit organization located in Wilmington, DE who is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist at our location in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of accounting functions including processing invoices, maintaining accounts payable records, and managing vendor communications. This position is a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices and preparation of AP checks. • Ensure that monthly invoices for benefits are accurately reflecting any changes. • Utilize knowledge of accounting software systems and ERP for efficient functioning. • Proactively engage with suppliers/vendors to resolve errors and reconcile accounts. • Implement account coding as part of the Accounts Payable process. • Utilize your skills in accounting functions to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding, with the ability to accurately classify and record financial transactions. • Strong knowledge and experience with Accounting Software Systems to manage and process financial data. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems, with the ability to optimize its use for financial operations. • Understanding of overall Accounting Functions, including but not limited to, financial reporting, auditing, and budgeting. • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), with the capacity to process invoices, maintain vendor relationships, and reconcile AP transactions.
