Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing a high volume of invoices in Great Plains, investigating and resolving payment discrepancies, maintaining vendor relationships, performing monthly reconciliations, reviewing employee expense reports, and preparing AP reports. Additionally, the Accounts Payable Specialist will ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, identify and implement process improvements, and collaborate with the finance team to support overall financial goals.

ResponsibilitiesAccurately process a high volume of invoices in Great Plains, ensuring proper coding and approval.Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to vendor payments, working closely with vendors and internal departments.Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.Perform monthly reconciliations of AP sub-ledger to the general ledger.Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.Prepare and analyze AP reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the AP function.Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to support overall financial goals and initiatives.Essential Skills3+ years of high-volume AP experience.2+ years of intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups.Experience with accounts payable, invoice processing, invoicing, and purchase orders.Experience working with Great Plains.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years supporting process improvements.Work Environment

This role requires the candidate to be in the office 100% of the time, with standard work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. However, there is flexibility to work from home when needed. The office is conveniently located just 2 minutes from public transportation. The team is tight-knit, collaborative, and values go-getters who are eager to take on various tasks. The industry is experiencing significant growth, supported by a recent $125 million grant to expand manufacturing in MN. This role offers more variety than a typical AP position, with opportunities to engage in process improvements and ERP implementation projects within the next 12 months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
