Job Description
We are searching for an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist within the Finance organization. This role requires the individual to perform a variety of accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions, including vendor and employee expense report functions.
ResponsibilitiesReview and process expense reports dailyAssist employees with completing expense reportsTroubleshoot system issues for expense reportsMaintain financial records and data systems, including vendor filesProcess accounts payable vouchers, checks, wire transfers, and ACH paymentsVerify invoices, invoice numbers, account codes, and financial accounts; assist with resolution of discrepanciesTrace transactions through previous accounting actions to help resolve discrepanciesCorrespond with vendors and respond to payment status inquiriesPerform account research and ad-hoc accounting/reporting/administrative tasksOther duties as assignedEssential SkillsAccounts payableInvoice processingDeltek CostpointT&EInvoicingGovernment contracting experience2+ years of experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and ReconciliationAdditional Skills & Qualifications2-4 years of Vendor Accounts Payable and Expense Report processing experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferredExpense Reporting in Deltek Costpoint preferredStrong organizational and prioritization skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of integrity and professionalismAbility to plan effectively, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a collaborative environmentProficient in Microsoft Office suiteWork Environment
The team has a close-knit culture, often enjoying lunches and happy hours together. The company promotes work-life balance. This role requires working under general supervision and following standard procedures. The position is part of a team of seven, with three days required in person. This opening is due to team turnover, with members moving to other departments and roles.

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $43.27/hr.
