Temporary position$23.05 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 03:30pm)Code items such as invoices, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.Receive, research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices.Reconcile monthly vendor statements Handle vendor correspondence via phone or email.Assist with monthly status reports and closings to ensure all invoices are entered for month end Assist with weekly check runs.Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications:
Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.Managing multiple invoices and payment schedules.Meet deadlines, especially at the end of the month or quarter.Intermediate to advance computer skills, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, etc. A solid understanding of basic accounting principles, such as debits, credits, accruals, and journal entries.Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues in vendor invoices or payments. Create and manipulate spreadsheets for tracking payments, aging reports, and vendor information.Reconciling accounts payable ledgers to ensure payments match up with statements. Familiarity with sales tax, VAT, or other relevant tax regulations.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
