Aston Carter is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist in Indianapolis, IN! This position offers competitive pay with a top company in the area.
Job Description
+ Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
+ Maintaining historical records
+ Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
+ Continuing to improve the payment process
+ Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
+ Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
+ Disburses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
+ Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
+ 1099 maintenance
Skills & Qualifications
+ Ensures compliance with all company policies, procedures and business ethics and ensures that the policies are communicated and implemented within their team
+ Knowledge of basic accounting principles
+ Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
+ High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
+ Excellent data entry skills
+ Effective organizational, communication and time management skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
