Description We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lewiston, Maine, 04240, United States. This role is a short term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee the processing of invoices and payments, maintain accurate financial records, and provide efficient customer service in a detail oriented manner. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the processing of invoices and payments to ensure accuracy and efficiency • Use ERP Solutions and SAP for financial management and record keeping • Keep financial records up to date with recent transactions and changes • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and in a detail oriented manner • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary • Ensure all financial data is accurate and complies with internal policies • Work with the team to improve financial processes and systems • Proactively identify and address any issues that could impede the financial workflow. Requirements • Proficiency in using ERP Solutions is a key requirement for this role. • Extensive experience with SAP software is necessary. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is mandatory. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. • Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Proven experience in managing and resolving invoice discrepancies. • Strong communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal departments. • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
