Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team, situated in BALTIMORE, Maryland. This role offers a permanent employment opportunity and is pivotal in managing customer applications, keeping customer records precise, and resolving customer queries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications. • Keep customer credit records precise and up-to-date. • Manage customer inquiries and provide prompt resolutions. • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions. • Perform analyses of financial information to provide accurate and timely reports. • Assist with accounts payable and perform light accounting duties as needed. • Maintain data entries in the producer payroll system. • Process accounts payable invoices and perform accounts payable research as required. • Prepare journal entries to support the General Ledger team as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices • Demonstrated ability to accurately process payroll • Proven experience with data entry tasks, particularly in entering invoices • Familiarity with the preparation and posting of journal entries • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Adept at multi-tasking and able to prioritize work effectively • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment • Proven record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion • Familiarity with accounting software and systems is a plus • Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as the field of accounting evolves • Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
