Job Summary:

 

The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist is responsible for posting related activities of a clerical, mathematical nature, posts payments, sorts mail and documents collection problems.

Job Duties:

Posts payments and adjustments, ensures all payment and adjustments are balanced on a daily basisSorts mail and processes requests for information, refers claim resolution issue to appropriate areaResolves any un-postable deposits along with entering and processing refundsReview Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to assure proper payment and adjustment of posting.Collects patients payments by phone as necessary based on business needPerform other duties as required

Qualifications: 

 

High school graduate or equivalentMust have 1+ years of previous medical front office experienceExcellent telephone skillsProficient in Word and ExcelPrevious experience with medical software preferredAvailable and flexible with your hoursClose attention to detailGreat time management and organizational skills Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
