We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Accountant for our growing team! The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, and recording accounts receivables’ data. The Accounts Receivable Accountant also manages invoicing and record keeping for various state and federal grant programs, working closely with nonprofit partners.

Key Responsibilities

 Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, and recording accounts receivables’ dataBill KORE and UNITE treatment vouchers and monthly stipendsWorking in partnership with nonprofit Odyssey, Inc., manage SNAP program, including billing and record keep in adherence with Federal guidelinesPost EFT, cash, checks and credit card payments into Sage 300Reconcile Medicaid and Commercial Insurance paymentsIssue invoices to customersRecord cash receipts and make bank depositsProcess remote depositsMaintain the petty cash fundRecord and maintain transactions related to donationsMaintain an orderly accounting filing systemEnsure deadlines are met for month end closeMaintain a high level of confidentiality related to financial and client informationParticipate in staff and state regulatory training as requiredAdhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics.

Key Experience and Education Needed:

Associates Degree in Accounting or Related Field PreferredProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records.Ability to perform and analyze various system checks.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service systemKnowledge and experience with Sage 300 and ExcelKnowledge and experience with GAAPStrong numeracy and analytical skillsHighly organized and detail orientatedExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyAbility to problem solveAbility to manage time appropriatelyAbility to meet deadlines and adhere to schedulesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive mannerAbility to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.
